ORGANIC PRODUCTION AS A PRIORITY COMPONENT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF UKRAINE

The issue of ensuring sustainable development has been relevant for decades, not only for national economies but also for individual enterprises. Sustainable development aims to achieve social and economic justice, preserve the environment and restore used natural resources. The main idea of the concept of sustainable development is to ensure a high standard of living of the country's population, which involves the harmonious development of the ecological and socio-economic spheres of society.
The purpose of the article is to analyze the current state of development of organic production in Ukraine, taking into account the quantitative changes and dynamics of organic production as a component of the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and business in the country.
The scientific novelty is the consideration of conducting organic agriculture as a production organization that combines ecological, economic and social processes, providing organizational, economic and technological measures aimed at increasing the efficiency of production, ensuring the preservation and reproduction of soil fertility, being a practical implementation of the concept of sustainable development in agrarian sector.
The article analyzes the current state of organic agricultural production, the external and internal market of organic products, and defines its place and potential in the context of modern trends in the growth of the world market of organic products and the export realities and prospects of Ukrainian organic production.
The availability of agricultural land and the number of agricultural enterprises that are participants in the organic process in Ukraine are presented, an assessment of the export of organic products and the retail sale of organic products as an additional market niche is provided.
Conclusions. The dynamics of the export of organic agricultural products from Ukraine and the increase in its sales on the domestic market have been observed. Conducting organic agriculture is an organization of production that combines ecological, economic and social processes, providing organizational and technological measures aimed at increasing the efficiency of production, ensuring extended reproduction of soil fertility and high quality of products and is a priority component of the sustainable development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
